In unserer Police Association steckt das Wort "international". Ein klarer Auftrag, hin und wieder mal offiziell über den Zaun zu blicken. Weg von der Schrebergartenmentalität - hin zu gemeinsamen Aktionen.
Die IPA Österreich lud Anfang Oktober 2003 zu einer gemeinsamen Sitzung der Bundesvorstände der Sektionen Slowakei und Österreich nach Wien. Unsere slowakischen IPA Freunde freuten sich und nahmen die Einladung gerne an. Kann doch eine so junge Sektion wie die Slowakei manches von einem IPA-erfahrenen Nachbarn profitieren. Unsere Nachbarn bedankten sich für den produktiven Informationsaustausch, einem ersten Schritt nachbarschaftlichen IPA-Lebens. Sie sprachen eine Gegeneinladung nach Bratislava für den Januar 2004 aus.
Ein Heurigenbesuch in Perchtoldsdorf rundete den formellen Teil in gemütlicher Atmosphäre ab.
Aber was bringt's den Mitgliedern? Ganz einfach: eine gute funktionierende Sektion, wie es die Slowakei mit ihren Regionalvorständen ist, kann österreichischen IPA Mitgliedern zur Kontaktaufnahme bei Besuchen nur empfohlen werden.

In our Police Association you find the word "international". A clear order to look now and then officially over the fence.  The IPA Austrian Section invited the Slovak Section at the begin of of October 2003 to a common meeting of the national boards of the sections Slowakia and Austria to Vienna. 

Our slovak IPA friends were pleased and accepted the invitation gladly. Such a young section can profit of an IPA experienced neighbour as Austria. Our neighbours appreciated the productive information exchange, a first step of IPA life in the neighborhood. They spoke out a invitation to Bratislava in January 2004. A vistit of an Austrian "Heurigen" in Perchtoldsdorf finished the formal part in cosy atmosphere.

But what is it good for our IPA members? Completely simply: a good functioning section, how it is the Slovak section with their regional executive committees or boards, can be recommended doubtless to Austrian IPA members to get in contact with when they visit our neighbours.
